Donald Taylor
Web: www.donaldtaylor.org.uk
'
My first love is landscape painting" says Donald. "As a boy my habit was to get up at daybreak on Saturdays and walk up onto the moors above the town, to favourite haunts like Deeply Vale and Knowl Hill, and I would explore every fold and track. It was my ambition to be as good at conveying my feelings of excitement and mystery about the landscape I loved, through painting, with the same intensity that Turner's large landscape painting, 'Gathering Bait, Calais Sands' in Bury Art Gallery communicated to me..."
