Community Strategy Conversation - For a Frack Free Lancashire

Venue:
Holy Trinity Church Dean Street, Blackpool FY4 1BP
Organisers:
Frack Free Lancashire

In response to our appeal against Cuadrilla's planning application to frack at a second Lancashire site at Roseacre Wood, the Secretary of State has said he is minded to allow Cuadrilla to go ahead, but has given them until April 2018 to work on their traffic management plan, as this has been inadequate to date.

This is an event to bring together all those individuals or groups who oppose fracking in Lancashire. It is a 'Community Strategy Conversation' to share ideas and hopes, give it our best thinking on how we can all work together better and how to focus our energy and resources to beat fracking in Lancashire.

You can register for the event using Eventbrite on this link. There is also a form you can complete to gather background information prior to the meeting.

This process is not 'owned' by any one group, nor will it dictate what needs to be done. It is open to all types of groups, e.g. anti fracking, faith, political, community, etc. and also individuals. The event will be facilitated by members of Frack Free Lancashire, Reclaim the Power and Friends of the Earth.  Volunteers to help facilitate are welcome.

It is intended to reach agreement by discussion and consensus. If nothing more it will enable people to network with other like minded individuals.

Please be prepared to take part in an open, honest, positive and constructive discussion. There will be a follow up meeting on 18th November.

Tea and refreshments will be provided.

Looking forward to seeing you there. Please feel free to share with like minded groups in your area.
