A Life More Ordinary, in partnership with Defying Dementia, Lancaster University, brings you a series of lectures and discussions about living with dementia from three different perspectives.  All lectures are in the Gallery at The Dukes.

Driving improvements in health care, creating dementia-friendly communities, improving dementia research.

Presented by Dianne Smith, Matron for Dementia, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust.

This talk will help understand what dementia is, the symptoms of dementia, plus the problems living daily with it for the person and their family.

It covers the help given when someone is admitted into hospital with dementia and how a unique “dementia hub” has been set up in our local community.

All lectures in this series are free but seating is limited. Please book your place in advance at
