The famous Galloway’s Morecambe Bay Walk returns once again for 2019. Join Galloway’s on this iconic walk, as we ramble from Arnside across the famous sands to Kents Bank.

We will be guided along the picturesque bay by the Queen Guide to the Sands, Michael Wilson. Our walk will be taking place over 2 days: Saturday 24th August, starting at 11am, and then again on Sunday 25th August, starting at 12.15pm. We will begin our walk in Arnside. It will be approx. 8 miles and is expected to take between 3 and 4 hours, before ending at Kents Bank.

Galloway's provides transport from central Lancashire points including: Preston, Penwortham, Chorley, Southport and Morecambe. Parking is extremely limited in both Arnside and Kents Bank, so it is highly recommended to reserve your required transport. For more information on the transport available or to reserve a place, please email charlotte.carnell@galloways.org.uk. Transport information, and FAQ’s on the walk will be included in your welcome pack.

For a £10 registration fee (£5 for under-16s) you will receive an event t-shirt, and a day you'll never forget. Family tickets for £20 (2 adult and 2 children) are also available.

Galloway’s is a local sight-loss charity that provides support to local people affected by sight loss. In Lancashire and Sefton there are over 50,000 people affected by sight loss. We want to ensure that nobody goes through their sight-loss journey alone. We want to ensure everyone in Lancashire and Sefton has access to the support they need to enable them to be independent in a sight world. With your entry fee covering the cost of this event, any additional donations or sponsorship will go directly towards supporting local people through their sight-loss journey.
