The Lancaster Music Makers present a concert of music performed by our local supporters, to be held at The Chapel, University of Cumbria (Lancaster Site), on Bowerham Road, starting at 7.45 on Friday June 30th.

In the last concert before our Summer break, we have a good mixture of vocal and piano works. Celebrated local singer Kate Noble will perform ‘Cara Speme’ from Handel’s opera Giulio Cesare, and, in a duet with our own Rosemary Brown, ‘De torrente in via bibet’ from Handel’s Dixit Dominus. Solo piano works include Bach’s Prelude and Fugue No. 6 in D minor, Brahms’ Intermezzo in A major, Op.118 No.2, the Andante Cantabile from Mozart’s Sonata in C K330, Albeniz’s Cordoba, Granados’ Viniendo de la fuente, and Debussy’s Arabesque No. 1. Other contributions include some blues piano solos and songs by Hageman and Faure.

Admission is £6 on the door (£5 concessions) including programmes and interval refreshments. Access for the disabled is availabe to the rear of the chapel and there is ample free parking. Do join us for an evening of music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
