Lancaster Music Makers' Concert

Venue:
The Chapel, University of Cumbria, Lancaster LA1 3JD
Organisers:
Lancaster Music Makers

The Lancaster Music Makers present a concert at St Martin's Chapel, University of Cumbria (Lancaster site), at 7.45pm on Friday October 13th. The performers are all local musicians.

Tonight's concert includes a mixtures of piano music and songs. The vocal contributions include songs arranged for voice, clarinet and piano by Spohr, and songs arranged for piano and voice by Ivor Gurney, Britten, Schubert, Fauré, Mozart and Brahms. Piano contributions include a selection from Albeniz's Suite Espanol Op. 47 and piano duets by Jessel ('March of the Tin Soldiers' better known to many of us as the signature tune from Toytown on the BBC Home service!) and a previously unperformed work by our very own Rosemary Brown.

Admission is £6 on the door (concessions £5) including programme and refreshments. Wheelchair access is available to the rear of the Chapel and there is plenty of free parking nearby. Please join us for an interesting programme of music in a friendly and informal setting.
