Lancaster Words: Stories 2 Connect Supported by Melvin Burgess

Venue:
Lancaster Library, Lancaster, LA1 1HY
Organisers:
Lancaster Words: Department of English & Creative Writing, Lancaster University

Stories of resilience and transformation have been created collaboratively with disadvantaged young people in Lancashire. A selection of the stories will be presented by the young people, and the audience will have the opportunity to interact with the innovative phygital (physical-digital) artefacts that have been created to tell the stories in community locations.

Melvin Burgess, Young Adults and Children's author, will present a story he has co-created as part of the project.

The research project is led by Dr Candice Satchwell as part of a team of academics from the University of Central Lancashire, Lancaster University and Edge Hill University, and is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
