A Life More Ordinary: I’ve Got A Story To Tell

Venue:
The Dukes, Lancaster LA1 1QE

Our creative sessions are fun afternoons, led by an experienced facilitator.  No experience is necessary, and they are relaxed sessions where you can meet people and spend time trying out a creative activity.

I’VE GOT A STORY TO TELL
Mondays 26 February & 21 May

2.30pm – 4.00pm

Join regular writer Steve Fairclough for an enjoyable afternoon collectively creating a group story. Inspired by photographs and using your imagination, together we bring interesting characters & stories to life.

All creative sessions are FREE to attend, but places are limited so please book in advance. You can book online or by calling our Box Office on 01524 598500.

Free teas, coffees and biscuits are provided at all of our creative sessions and film screenings, courtesy of Iceland supermaket.

The Dukes' pioneering project, A Life More Ordinary, gives people living with dementia and memory loss more choice, more control and greater access to leisure and cultural opportunities at The Dukes. Crucially, it is a project which takes place in ‘ordinary’ public settings, not in care or medical settings. The intention is that people can feel that they are able to come to an ‘ordinary’ social event, alongside other members of the public.

A Life More Ordinary welcomes everyone to the regular film screenings and creative workshops, creating a supportive, caring experience for loved ones and families to enjoy together.
