A Life More Ordinary Screening: Meet Me in St Louis (U)

In the year leading up to the 1904 World’s Fair in St.Louis, the four smith daughters learn lessons of life and love, even as they prepare for a reluctant move to New York.  Starring Judy Garland, this acclaimed 1944 Hollywood boasts non-stop entertainment, including a wealth of unforgettable songs such as ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, ‘The Trolley Song’, ‘The Boy Next Door’, and ‘A Day in New York’.

There will also be a chance to join in a festive singalong during an interval in the film which begins at 2pm and ends at around 4.15pm.

This film screening is part of The Dukes pioneering 'A Life More Ordinary' programme for people with memory loss although it is open to anyone wishing to enjoy a classic film. More well known titles are lined up for 2018.

‘A Life More Ordinary’ daytime film screenings are presented in association with AGE UK Lancashire and everyone is welcome.

These events have a relaxed atmosphere so that people are welcome to move around and come and go as they please. Tickets are priced £4 and carers go free.
