Pericare Pre/Postnatal Support Group

Lancaster Quaker Friends’ Meeting House (next to railway station)
Liz Reid

Hi, I’m Liz Reid and I am a Specialist in Perinatal Emotional Wellbeing. I have 30 years’ experience working in mental health and I set up a Perinatal Mental Health Service from scratch in the NHS but now I am going solo, as I really want to make a difference with mums and dads on the ground. I am passionate about my work and I want to share my knowledge and insights. The Perinatal Emotional Wellbeing Support Group comprises 4 sessions but you are welcome to come to any of the sessions; they are £7 each and I am providing drinks and home-baked food. You can explore what is going on for you during your pregnancy and after the birth with me. I will provide some information on topics such as antenatal and postnatal anxiety and depression; early attachments and infant brain development. I hope the information will generate open discussion and will be an opportunity to ask me anything about your concerns. I hope this will help reassure you. It’s also an opportunity to be with like-minded people in a safe place to explore our feelings so that we are not alone in trying to manage. I really encourage you to come along and be part of something that can refresh and support you towards emotional wellbeing and wholeness! — Liz

The group will run for 4 weeks from 19th Feb to 19th March on Mondays at 1pm at the Friends’ Meeting House (next to Lancaster Railway Station).  For more info, contact Liz through her FB page.
