PSA Blood testing drop-in session for early detection of prostate cancer

Venue:
Cornerstone, Sulyard Street, Lancaster LA1 1PX
Organisers:
The Bay Prostate Cancer Support Group

Prostate Cancer is the highest diagnosed cancer for Men in the UK with around 47,000 cases detected annually. If you are a male aged 50+ or have a family history of prostate cancer, or female relatives with breast cancer, it's a very good idea to get a blood test for it and you can always obtain this free via your GP. Unfortunately too many men tend put this off. But if prostate cancer is diagnosed at an early stage, the chances of successful treatment are generally good. So the earlier the better.

The Bay Prostate Cancer Support Group have arranged a convenient, city-centre, drop-in blood testing session at Cornerstone off Dalton Square, Lancaster, to make it handier and a bit less daunting for you.  It only takes a minute to take the test and the result will be sent to you within 10 days.

A donation of £10 is suggested to help the support group cover its costs. For more information about the Bay Prostate Cancer Support Group please visit
