Remembrance Day 2 Minute Silence

Wednesday, November 11, 2020 - 11:00 to 11:02
Various Locations

At 11am on Remembrance Day (11 November) a 2-minute silence is observed in many public and private locations, in memory of those killed in wartime.

Where this is observed, people will stand in silent contemplation and all business will be suspended, for 2 minutes.

Remembrance Day is the anniversary of Armistice Day. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the guns fell silent, marking the end of World War 1.
