Europe 1818. A creature is born, childlike in nature but beast-like in form. Abandoned by his creator, he is cast aside and left to roam the industrial landscape. Rejected and considered grotesque wherever he goes, we follow the creature as he learns, attempts to love and embarks on a mission to find his creator.

Tackling parental neglect, societal isolation and scientific responsibility, Nick Dear’s raw and visceral retelling of Mary Shelley’s classic will leave you on the edge of your seat.

This March 2018 production will be performed by The Dukes Senior Young Actors, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the iconic Gothic novel.
