Wray Scarecrow Festival Week!

Saturday 22 April - Monday 1 May 2017 Each year visitors can wander around Wray village, discovering the host of scarecrows (all themed in annual topical themes) that have popped up in village gardens, and can be found peeking out of windows and perching on balconies.   But that’s not all! The Scarecrow Festival encompasses over a week’s worth of activities from races and rallies to a market and fairs – and all are welcome to come and enjoy it!   The village is always busy during the week so do arrive early to make sure you are able to experience everything there is on offer!   NB Visitors. Stay well away from the big wicker job on the back field. Nothing to see here :-) Sat Apr 22nd (starting 1.15pm): 10k road race. Farmer's market. Sun Apr 24th (time TBC): Cycle race Fri Apr 28th (starting 7pm): Giant Scarecrows Parade. Food, drink & live music. Fun fair Sat Apr 29th (all day): Fun fair. Lots of scarecrows. Sun Apr 30th (all day): Vintage & collectables market. Classic cars & bikes. Our Famous Ball race. Bus(k) stop music. Fun fair. Monday May 1st (times TBC): Fell race. Wray Fair: Stalls & attractions; Croix Du Nord vikings display; Trials bike display - Ben Stiller; Dogagility (try with your own dog); Taekwondo display. Fun fair and, of course, ... Lots and lots of scarecrows Car parking for the day every day £1.50 for visitors. Times and prices tbc.
