Happy Mount Park, Morecambe

Carnforth Station Heritage Centre

The award-winning Heritage Centre is located within a busy working railway station, offering the visitor a wealth of attractions, facilities and a fascinating range of exhibitions, including The “Brief Encounter” exhibition and the Thomas the Tank Engine Playroom.  

The Morecambe Winter Gardens

Morecambe Winter Gardens, 209 Marine Road Central, Morecambe LA4 4BU. Tel. 01524 422180. The Morecambe Winter Gardens opened as The Victoria Pavilion theatre in 1897 and is situated on the resort’s central promenade, overlooking Morecambe Bay. 

The Grand Theatre, Lancaster

The Grand offers an extensive range of theatre, film and live entertainment. Tours of the exuberant Edwardian interior may include a glimpse of actress Mrs Sarah Siddons, the Ghost-in-Residence. 

Heysham Heritage Centre

Main Street, Heysham, Morecambe, Lancashire LA3 2RW. Tel: 01524 853465. The Centre was opened in 2000, and has been visited by over 100,000 people, exceeding all initial expectations. It is run entirely by dedicated volunteers from Heysham Heritage Association. 

St Peters Roman Catholic Cathedral

Cathedral House, Balmoral Road, Lancaster, Lancs LA1 3BT, UK. Phone: 01524 384820. The mother church of the Diocese of Lancaster, home to Catholics living between Preston and Carlisle. 

Lancaster Brewery

Lancaster Brewery, Lancaster Leisure Park, Wyresdale Road, Lancaster LA1 3LA. Tel: +44 (0)1524 848537 Lancaster Brewery is one of the largest micro breweries in the North West of England. 

J Atkinson & Co, Tea & Coffee Merchants

China St, Lancaster LA1 1EX. Tel: 01524 65470. A traditional tea and coffee specialist shop founded in 1837 — the year of Queen Victoria’s accession. Atkinson’s supply many of Lancaster’s cafes with their tea and coffee. 

The Storey Creative Industries Centre

The Storey CIC combines one of Lancaster’s finest Grade 2 listed buildings, with a 21st century infrastructure. The SCIC contains a theatrical auditorium, lecture theatre, tasting gardens, rentable offices, workshop spaces, exhibition space, meeting rooms and a cafe & bar.
