Forest Friends Project - Lancaster District

Forest Friends Project - a new volunteering opportunity to help manage urban woodlands in the Lancaster District, for wildlife and people.  

North Lancashire Wildlife Group

The local group of Lancashire Wildlife Trust. We aim to deliver a programme of activities for members and the general public, raise awareness of wildlife issues and sites, conduct biological recording and survey work, and generally support Wildlife Trust aims and projects - and have fun together!

The Forest of Bowland AONB

Lancaster & District Conservation Volunteers

Tree planting and maintenance…hedgerow restoration and management…drystone walling…ponds and school nature reserves…orchard management…footpath management…fencing. These are just some of the jobs the group undertakes each year.

Wolfwood Animal Sanctuary

201 Bowerham Rd, Lancaster LA1 4HT (charity shop) Tel.: 07971 518 335 (shop opening hours) or 07931 220 094 Wolfwood is devoted to the rescue and rehoming of the least wanted dogs from the area and constantly expanding the work with Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation.  

Lancaster & District Birdwatching Society
