LDHAS is the leading homeless charity in the Lancaster region. We work with people from many backgrounds whose circumstance have led to sleeping rough, or struggling to manage their own accommodation. The service is committed to helping people find accommodation and learn essential life skills.

The Tara Centre is a community project based at The Storey, Lancaster. We are dedicated to increasing access to practices that improve health and wellbeing and run several community projects, as well as offer classes and courses such as meditation, mindfulness and sound therapy.

These are just some of the jobs the group undertakes each year. 

Hua Xian Chinese Society - Lancaster & Morecambe

Animal Care

Animal Care takes in, cares for, and finds new homes for a large number of dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals, large and small, as well as undertaking a conservation programme with their land involving tree planting and care. Volunteering opportunities in the cafe, sanctuary and fundraising.  

Heysham Heritage Centre

Main Street, Heysham, Morecambe, Lancashire LA3 2RW. Tel: 01524 853465. The Centre was opened in 2000, and has been visited by over 100,000 people, exceeding all initial expectations. It is run entirely by dedicated volunteers from Heysham Heritage Association. 

Lancaster District CVS

Lancaster & Morecambe Lions Club
