Peace of Mind 4 Carers

Peace of Mind 4 Carers is an emergency support service funded by Lancashire County Council providing reassurance for Carers. When you register on the scheme they will set up a Peace of Mind Plan and, in an emergency, can provide up to 72 hours free support for the people that you care for.

What is an emergency? It is an unplanned event that prevents a Carer from providing care that puts the person you care for at risk, e.g. stuck in traffic, rushed into hospital or a family emergency.

Someone from Carers Lancashire will come to assess your needs and set up a peace of mind care plan. (And possibly suggest hooking you up with a few other handy services too. They're very up to speed on what's available.)

Once your plan is registered on the free scheme, you get a handy keyfob and registration card and number.  In an emergency you can can call the number and get up to 72 hours of free agency care sent in.

It's not obvious from the website, but the scheme covers all of Lancashire.

If you think you are a carer and would like to access this support, please get in touch by telephoning  Carers Lancashire on 0345 688 7113.
