The Robert Gillow
Opened in September 2007 in what was previously Elliots restaurant. The pub is named after a famous local furniture magnate and has a traditional pub feel but with a contemporary twist. It's on two floors, upstairs being a lounge area with views over the city. During the week we have entertainment daily to suit most people. (See events listings)

The food offerings at The Robert Gillow range from a 'make up your own nibbles' plate through office lunches to full evening meals. Signature dish is the Steak & Ale pie. The Robert Gillow serves good coffee and even has its own house blend from local coffee merchants Atkinsons. The wine list is decent with nine available by the glass. Pick up a Privilege Card and you can get 10% off your bill. Pastries also available with morning coffee, Nibbles menu available, Lunch Menu Served 12-3pm.. Dinner Menu Served from 5pm
