(Updated 4/11/09): Police have released a CCTV image after a female student was raped after leaving a Lancaster nightclub.
The victim had been in Cuba night club in Dalton Square, Lancaster, in the early hours of 21st October 2009 and had struck up a conversation with a man. The male then offered to walk her home to the Moorlands area of the city.
After being allowed in to the property, the man then raped the victim before leaving the house.
The victim is currently being provided with support from specialised police officers.
“The victim has been left traumatised by what has happened,” says DI Glen Oldham, Lancaster Police.
