Planning Inspector criticises Lancaster city council and postpones start of inquiry into the Lancaster Local Plan

6/12/18: The Planning Inquiry Hearings for the Lancaster Local Plan, due to start on 8 January 2019, have been postponed by the Planning Inspector, Richard McCoy. This is because Lancaster City Council failed to deliver evidence on time and attempted to amend the Local Plan that was submitted in May.

9/3/18: Local campaign group CLOUD is calling a General Meeting on Tuesday 20 March at 7.30pm at the Boot & Shoe pub. The group will decide its response to the Local Plan, including the Bailrigg Garden Village proposals, as the public's comments for the Planning Inspectorate must be submitted by 6 April.

21/9/17: In January 2017 the Bailrigg area of Lancaster was chosen by the Government as the proposed location of a new Garden Village. Over the next month Lancaster City Council will be holding a series of drop-in events to give people the opportunity to share their views on these plans.
