Call for Mental Health Unit Plans to be Scrapped

26/9/08: Green Party County Councillor Chris Coates has called for Lancashire Care Trust (LCT) to scrap their plans for new mental health unit at Royal Albert fields, off Ashton Road in Lancaster, and to start the site selection process again.

Ridge Lea Petiton - Last Day to Sign

9/9/08: Local author Andy Diggle has been in contact, noting Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust proposal to try to sell off Ridge Lea Mental Hospital to property developers and then build a whole new facility on a wholly inappropriate greenfield site, instead of properly redeveloping the existing location.
