Assaulted man in critical condition after Queen Street attack

6/11/12: (Updated): Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault outside the Joiners Arm in Morecambe in the early hours of this morning, who is now in a critical condition. At around 1.15am, a 55-year-old man was the victim of an unprovoked attack outside the Queen Street pub, when an unidentified man approached him and punched him in the face before fleeing the scene.

Penny Street assualt: CCTV released

5/11/12: Police have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak with after a Carnforth couple were assaulted in Lancaster city centre on Friday 12th October. The offence took place around 1.00am on Penny Street when a 20-year-old man was enjoying a night out with his 19 year old girlfriend.

Hunt for Lancaster underpass attackers continues, photos released

2/11/12: Police are again are appealing for information after a young woman was attacked and robbed by two men at knifepoint as she walked home in Lancaster last month. An EvoFit of one of the attackers has been published and police have now released pictures of the items stolen.

Gang jailed for over 34 years following poker game robbery

30/10/12: Five men involved in a robbery where poker players were threatened with machetes have been jailed for a total of 34 years and seven months. A group of men had been playing poker at an address on Robin Crescent, Heysham, on Sunday 22nd May 2011, when they were targeted by the gang, who had been made aware of the game through their associates.

Appeal after ‘silly string’ attack ends in assault on boy in Morecambe

24/10/12: Police are appealing for information after an 11-year-old boy was sprayed with ‘silly string’ and assaulted in Morecambe on Saturday (20th October). The bizarre incident, picked up by at least one national newspaper, took place between 3 and 4.00pm outside Pound Fever on Euston Road when the boy, who was with a friend, were walking through Morecambe town centre carrying an owl.

Lancaster takeaway assault: man sought

7/9/12: Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in a Lancaster takeaway. At around 3.00am on Monday 27th of August, the 18 year old woman was in ‘Flames’ takeaway on Rosemary Lane in Lancaster when a male customer started to become aggressive towards other customers. When the victim challenged the man, he punched her in the face, knocking her unconscious.

Harrington Road Assault: police appeal launched

23/8/12: Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were injured during a disturbance on a street in Morecambe on Saturday 11th August 2012. The offence took place around midnight outside an address on Harrington Road when two men received significant injuries, believed inflicted by a sharp bladed instrument.

21/8/12: Police are appealing for information after a man was injured following a night out in Morecambe earlier this month. At around 3.45am on Sunday 12th August, the 25-year-old man, who was walking home after a night out, remembers walking past the Kings Arms Pub on Marine Road before waking up on the pavement -- approximately ten metres away from AJs Burger bar.

Duke of Lancaster pub assault: CCTV released

13/8/12: Police are appealing for information and have issued a CCTV image after a man was head-butted whilst inside the Duke of Lancaster pub last month. The 52-year-old victim was inside the pub on Church Street at around 12.30am on 15th July when he approached the bar to get a drink. At this point, a brief altercation has taken place after and he has been head-butted by another man.

Police appeal following assault outside Lancaster night club

1/8/12: Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Lancaster City Centre on Saturday 30th June. The incident happened outside the Toast Nightclub on North Road at around 2.00am when the victim, a 18 year old man, was stood outside the club on the street.

CCTV appeal after security guard is spat at in Morecambe

25/7/12: Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak with in connection with a common assault in Morecambe. The offence took place at 3.00pm on Thursday 19th July when a man has been asked to leave the Arndale Shopping Arcade following reports of nuisance behaviour. The man has then become verbally aggressive and has spat directly into the face of a security guard before running off.

Four years for “frenzied” attacker

20/7/12: A Lancaster man who subjected a friend of his ex-girlfriend to a “frenzied” attack was today jailed for four years. 22-year-old Adam Kirkham of Windholme, Lancaster was given sentence today at Preston Crown Court after previously pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm.

Schoolgirl assaulted on cycle track

20/7/12: Morecambe police are urging witnesses to come forward after a schoolgirl was assaulted by a girl on a cycle track. The victim was waiting for a friend on a cycle track next to Cartmel Place, Morecambe, at around 7pm on Thursday 12th July when she was approached by three girls. One of them punched the victim in the face before walking off with her friends onto Cartmel Place.

Primrose Street assault: three men sought

26/6/12: Police are appealing for information following an assault on a man as he walked home from work in Lancaster earlier this month. The 21-year-old man was walking home from work along Primrose Street at around 4.55pm on Sunday 10th June when he was approached by three men.

Lancaster Farms prisoners given extra sentences for attack on officer

26/6/12: Two men who held a prison officer at knife point at Lancaster Farms back in February, while trying to steal her cell keys, have been given additional jail sentences. 19-year-olds Josh Corey and Jake Burns attacked the female officer at Lancaster Farms young offenders institute on 2nd February.

Second appeal for witnesses after indecent assault on Millennium Bridge

1/6/12: Local police are re-appealing for witnesses following an indecent assault in Lancaster in April on the Millennium Bridge involving two young girls. The incident happened at around 7.15pm on Monday 16th April, when a man approached two 13-year-old girls on the bridge and put his arm around them both before sexually touching them and laughing.

Police appeal following attempted bike theft in Lancaster

1/6/12: Police are appealing for witnesses after two men attempted to steal a mountain bike following an incident in Lancaster. The attempted theft took place on the cycle path towards the city centre at around 10.25pm on Saturday 26th May 2012. The man was riding his bike to work close to Carlisle Bridge when he was approached by two men who were blocking his path.

Appeal after muggers rob man at knife point in Lancaster

17/5/12: Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery near Sainsbury's, Lancaster, last month. The incident took place on the evening of Wednesday 4th April on the cycle track at the back of Sainsbury’s. The victim, a 35-year-old local man, was approached by three men, one of whom asked him for some change. Whilst this was happening, another man grabbed him and held a knife to his throat.

Hammer-wielding thieves sought by police

15/5/12: (Updated 16/5/12 with evofit): A robbery in Stanhope Venue, Morecambe last week has prompted a police appeal after the intruders threatened a resdent with a hammer. At approximately 10.00pm last Wednesday night (9th May), two men wearing full face balaclavas and dark clothing forced their way into a house on Stanhope Avenue, threatening the occupant with a hammer.

Police appeal after Willow Lane assault

27/4/12: Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and had a mobile phone stolen during a street robbery in Lancaster earlier this month. The incident took place around 8.00pm on 10th April 2012 when a 20-year-old victim was walking along Willow Lane on the Marsh Estate with two female friends when they were approached by a group of young men.
