The Centre @ Halton

A vibrant and welcoming community centre in the heart of Halton, offering indoor and outdoor facilities, with a fantastic skate park. We have a huge number of classes and activities, from sports and exercise to community activities and events for all ages. We also have a friendly and popular cafe.

Magic Lantern Tales of World War One at the Platform

2/11/15: Using a genuine magic lantern projector, poet and broadcaster Ian McMillan and documentary photographer Ian Beesley will be telling a story of World War One from the point of view of men who survived it and lived on to old age and a changing world at the Platform on Thursday 26th November. Also revealed are the tales of women who worked in the factories that oiled the wheels of war.

Heritage days open historic doors across Lancaster - and Lancashire

7/9/15: Some of Lancashire County Council's historic buildings will open their doors between Thursday 10th and Sunday 13th September as part of a national promotion of local attractions. The Heritage Open Days are an opportunity for people to find out about local history and explore their heritage, architecture and culture by getting involved in a number of activities. The majority of these are free.

Originally established as St Martin’s College, a teacher training facility, the Bowerham Road campus first opened its doors to its first intake of students 50 years ago this month.

Steampunk set to take over Morecambe!
