Everything's coming up Roses at Williamson Park

Everything will be coming up 'Roses' at Lancaster's Williamson Park this summer when the 2012 Roses Historic Vehicle Run heads to the park. The 12th Historic Vehicle Run will leave Bradford on Sunday 1st July and make its way via Halifax, Todmordon, Burnley, Clitheroe and through the Trough of Bowland before ending its journey at the park.

Dog Fun Day Planned for Heysham School

Lancaster City Council has teamed up with the RSPCA, the Dogs Trust and Lune Valley Training Club to offer free microchipping, identity discs and training to all dog owners at a special event to be held on Wednesday 22nd July. The Dog Fun Day will take place at Trumacar Primary School in Heysham between 10.00am to 12 noon and 1.00pm to 3.00pm.

Heysham Pool is launching its new autumn programme to encourage people to get their bathers on. For people who are early risers, come along to the early bird sessions taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30 - 9.00am.
