Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band to play at the Platform

World famous clarinet player Acker Bilk will be performing with his Paramount Jazz Band at the Platform in Morecambe on Friday 18 June. Acker Bilk - a regular guest at the top Morecambe venue - gained worldwide fame with hit singles ‘Stranger On the Shore’ in 1962 (which stayed in the charts for 55 weeks and was the first number one hit in the UK and USA simultaneously) and ‘Aria’ in 1976.
