The Dukes Seeks New Board Members

The A6 between the south Lancaster motorway junction and Lancaster is now officially the most dangerous road in the whole country for cyclists and pedestrians, according to the recent Road Safety Foundation report.

Tuesday Night Jazz Finale at Lancaster's Robert Gillow

Local jazz couple Sue Parish and Jon Moore (pictured) will be closing their popular and long running series of Tuesday night jazz sessions at the Robert Gillow Pub by bringing together two top ensembles. Lancastrians enjoyed a special lunch at the Dukes today as part of a national celebration of the contribution migrants make to the UK. The lunch was part of a national inititiative called 'One Day Without Us', which perhaps indicates how long the UK wouldn't last without their daily contribution at almost every level of UK society.

Don't let sneak thieves ruin Christmas, Lancaster police warn

Police are warning residents to make sure they lock their doors and windows this Christmas after a young woman’s insecure home was targeted by thieves. The 20-year-old had her Hinde Street home in Lancaster targeted by burglars on 30th November after her back door was left unlocked. The thieves made off with a £200 television and a £300 notebook computer.
