After the success of a similar event earlier in the year, Lancaster City Council is once again organising a special event featuring local producers of food, arts and crafts at Morecambe’s Festival Market.

Taking place on Sunday 21st June, the busiest trading day of the week, the special market will give local producers the chance to show off their goods.

“The Lancaster district is renowned for being home to some of the best local producers in the country,” says Tracey Bruce, who is manager of the Festival Market. “We’re hoping to attract a wide-range of different stalls so there should be something for everyone.”

This event follows the success of a similar one which took place over the last May Day bank holiday weekend.

“Sales of home produce were well reported at the Bank Holiday and if this event goes as well we will be looking to hold one on a regular basis,” says Tracey.

If any local producers would like to join the event they should contact the Festival Market for a booking form. Traders will need to bring stalls and covers and generators as required as the market will be operated from the Festival Market car park. Access to water and refuse disposal is also available.

For more information contact Tracey on 01524 414251 or email tbruce@lancaster.gov.uk

Spaces for stalls will be allocated on a first come first served basis and will require a £5 deposit.
