Motorbike stolen in Warton

8/5/13: Police are appealing for information following the theft of a motorbike from a house in Warton. Between 4.45pm and 5.45pm on Saturday 4th May 2013, somebody stole a blue Yamaha off-road 88cc PW80 motorbike from the driveway of a house on Main Street.

Police warnings to dog owners after sheep attacks

24/7/12: Police are asking dog owners to take responsibility for their pets after a number of sheep attacks in Silverdale and Warton - to the dismay of local farmers. Several farmers in the area have reported dogs running lose in the countryside and attacking their sheep and lambs.

Dog owners urged to keep pets under control after harassment reports

22/2/11: Dog owners are being urged to keep their pets under control in the countryside following reports of livestock being harmed by the animals when they are off their lead - which have included the death of one animal. Carnforth police have received a number of complaints from farmers after a series of incidents in which pregnant ewes and new-born lambs have been harassed by dogs.

Rope across road puts motorists at risk

18/1/10: Local police are warning of the risks to motorists after a piece of rope was stretched dangerously across a Silverdale road. The rope was pulled taut across Lindeth Road on 8th January, but fortunately a passing motorist recognised the danger and removed the obstruction.

Keep your dogs on a lead, police warn

5/1/10: Dog owners are being warned to keep their pets on leads when out walking on farm land after a spate of attacks on sheep.
