(Updated 22:15): Virtual-Lancaster received reports earlier today of an 85-year-old woman who was walking her tiny chihuahua yesterday morning on Hampsfell Drive, Westgate, when she and her dog were approached from behind by a young lad on a bike with his two dogs – one on a lead, one off.
The one off lead ran and attacked her chihuahua – and then the second also attacked and the chihuahua was killed.
As you can imagine this lady is beside herself with grief, but over the day posts on the local Facebook group Pets Lost and Found, led to both sides of the awful encounter emerging – and that the equally devastated dog owner had handed himself into the police and handed over his dogs.
