Police appeal after Lancaster Dance Studio set ablaze

Friday, October 30, 2015 - 17:31: Police are appealing for information after a suspected arson attack at a former dance studio in Lancaster. Between 3.15pm and 3.30pm on Thursday, October 29, a large fire started inside The Dance Studio in Lodge Street. The incident caused substantial damage with several fire crews called to put out the blaze.

Police Appeal after Morecambe Burglary and Assault

Friday, October 30, 2015 - 17:26: Police are appealing for information following a robbery at a house in Morecambe. The incident happened at around 7.45pm on Monday 26th October, when two men forced their way into a 77 year old man’s address on St Oggs Road. A neighbour of the victim, a 65-year-old man, witnessed the two men going into the property and went round to confront them.

Renwed Appeal for Wanted Halton Man

Friday, October 30, 2015 - 17:21: Jonathan Hunt Detectives trying to trace a man who is still wanted for failing to appear at court have issued a fresh appeal for information on his whereabouts. Jonathan Hunt, 37, whose last known address was Rowan Bank, Halton, Lancaster, is wanted after he failed to appear at Preston Crown Court on July 16th for sentencing in relation to possession of drugs with intent to supply.

It follows complaints from the public about the difficulties of being able to book an accessible taxi. The complainants state that they struggle to book a wheelchair accessible taxi and they feel that they are being discriminated against.

Police appeal for driver to come forward after Lancaster collision

Friday, October 9, 2015 - 09:22: Police have put out an appeal asking to speak to the driver of this car following a collision in Lancaster. At around 1.40pm on Monday 5th October a cyclist was involved in a collision with a vehicle on St George's Quay. The cyclist, a 46-year-old woman, was left with serious upper body injuries which required treatment at Royal Lancaster Hospital. The vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
