Lancaster City Museum to get a new roof

Friday, September 22, 2017 - 12:44: The City Museum in Lancaster’s Market Square is getting a new roof as part of the council’s programme of works to preserve some of its oldest and finest public buildings. Scaffolding is due to be erected around the building from Tuesday October 3. Completion is scheduled in May 2018.

Thursday, September 21, 2017 - 21:31: In January 2017 the Bailrigg area of Lancaster was chosen by the Government as the proposed location of a new Garden Village. Over the next month Lancaster City Council will be holding a series of drop-in events to give people the opportunity to share their views on these plans.

In January 2017 the Bailrigg area of Lancaster was chosen by the Government as the proposed location of a new Garden Village. Lancaster City Council has included the Garden Village as a proposal in its draft Local Plan, which decides what land should and should not be allocated for development. (Series)
