Carnforth police are appealing for people to come forward with information following a series of criminal damage in Bolton-le-Sands.
Between 8.30pm on Saturday 2nd October and 4.20pm on Sunday 3rd October the front window of the Packet Boat Chip Shop on Main Road was smashed, causing significant damage.
Prior to this – between 21st or 22nd September – coping stones have been removed from the Brookfield doctors’ surgery on Main Road and thrown into a nearby garden causing them to smash. A few days later, after the wall was repaired, coping stones were again forcibly removed from the wall.
In September there was also an incident at the bus stop on Main Road with the junction with Brookfield Close where the glass has been smashed.
“There has been a spate of criminal damages in the Main Road area recently,” noted Bolton-le-Sands Community Beat Manager PC Linda Head. ” with four crimes reported in the last month in what is usually a peaceful village.
“There have also been reports of groups of youths that are congregating particularly around the doctor’s surgery.
“I would urge residents to remain vigilant and for anyone with any information about these crimes to contact me direct on 01524-596400.”
