Police are appealing for information after two paintings by local artist Bogie were stolen from an art exhibition at Heysham Library last week.
The artist who created the two pieces, had been holding a small exhibition in the library when they were stolen, it is believed, sometime between 3.15pm and 3.45pm on Tuesday the 11th June.
PC Jo Clement said, “These paintings are originals and there are no photographs or prints of them so they are all unique and easily identifiable.
“We have issued a picture of one of the artists other creations in the same style as the ones stolen in the hope that it might help jog someone’s memory, perhaps if they have been offered any similar pieces for sale, for example.
“We are very keen to re-unite the artist with his paintings and so, if anyone does have any information that they think might help, then I would urge them to contact us as soon as possible.”
