The A6 Lancaster City Centre ring road is currently closed at Dalton Square (Southbound) following an accident involving a bus and a pedestrian, during the afternoon rush hour.
There is a great deal of congestion backed up in the system and drivers are advised to avoid the City Centre and warned to expect delays and diversions.
The road is expected to be reopened by 6.45pm.
