An evening with Vahni Capildeo and students from Lancaster’s MA Creative Writing Programmes. Hear the poems of award-winning poet Vahni Capildeo, then listen to brand-new work from our creative writing students. This is part of a two evening celebratory event, hosted by the English Literature and Creative Writing Department.

Vahni Capildeo's books include Utter (Peepal Tree, 2013), Simple Complex Shapes (Shearsman, 2015), Measures of Expatriation (Carcanet; Forward Poetry Prizes Best Collection; T.S. Eliot Prize nomination), and Venus as a Bear (Carcanet, forthcoming 2018). She writes a regular report for PN Review; other recent non-fiction looks at cocoa growing in Trinidad (adda, Commonwealth Writers) and ‘microtravel’ (Granta). She is a Douglas Caster Cultural Fellow at the University of Leeds.
