Lancaster Tennis Club

Lancaster Tennis Club in Lune Road (LA1 5QU) is hosting a special fund raising event for mental health charities, organised by Bright Ideas for Tennis.  Robyn Moore, who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), is aiming to hit more tennis balls in one month than any other tennis player has done.   This project is called Breakpoint 2019, see, and it aims to raise awareness of mental health issues, highlight the benefits of activity, and also fund disability tennis programmes throughout the UK.

During the month of June, Robyn will be visiting 46 different tennis clubs around the UK and Lancaster Tennis Club has been chosen to be one of the venues, on the afternoon of Monday June 10th from 2pm to 6pm.  The event will finish at Wimbledon on 30th June

Local tennis players and anyone else interested in her challenge are invited to come along to the Club to support Robyn’s ball hitting target and create a good atmosphere.   Some players will be asked to join her on court to hit balls to her, and support her in other ways.

Please do come along and support her and help to raise money for the chosen charity — Sport in Mind.   Any queries or offers of support to Susan on tel: 07771 734920 or
