Lancaster’s new Ashton Hotel, which opened back in July, has just received its official rating from Visit Britain and achieved the highest star rating, making it the only five star accommodation in the city.
The five bedroom hotel owned by former TV director James Gray, situated in a Georgian manor house near Williamson Park, is also the most popular place to stay on top travel web site Tripadvisor in the B&B & Inn category, as well as the top guest rated on laterooms.com.
