Heysham residents will have the opportunity to find out how they can get involved in making their local community a safer place at a special event next month.
Staff and volunteers from Lancashire Constabulary will be taking part in the National Personal Safety Day event at Heysham library between 3pm – 7pm on Monday 8th October.
National Personal Safety Day is an annual event run by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust and is aimed at raising awareness of the simple, practical solutions that everyone can use to help avoid becoming a victim of crime.
There will be a chance to find out more about becoming a Special Constable or a police volunteer and the chance to join up to your local neighbourhood watch scheme.
