Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Lancaster earlier this month. Although nothing was stolen, the act has left the house owners shaken.
The incident happened on Lyth Road on Friday 3rd February between 1.30 and 5.20pm.
The offenders approached the semi detached house and entered via the front door. Once inside they have made an untidy search of the house but did not steal anything.
Detective Constable Sue Palmer from Lancaster CID said, “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward and contact the police.
“Although nothing was stolen, the thought of strangers rummaging through your belongings in your own home is sickening and we need to find these people and bring them to justice.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Lancaster CID on 101.
