People in Lancaster are being invited to meet their local police officers at a new contact centre.
The current police museum at Lancaster bus station at the Wood Street entrance will open as a contact centre every Monday between 2.30-3.30pm starting this Monday (13th May.)
It is an opportunity for residents to get to know their neighbourhood policing teams and people can also discuss any issues, concerns or ideas they have.
This Monday they will also be carrying out bike coding in a bid to reduce the number of bike thefts in the area.
People can also have a look around the police museum which contains old police memorabilia and equipment.
PCSO Nicolle Croft said: “Opening up this contact centre is a great way for Officers to engage with local people. We really want to build up relationships with residents and want them to feel as though their concerns and ideas are being listened to and taken on board.”
