The line up for this year’s Leighton Live, running 3rd – 5th June 2022, has been announced, with tickets on sale from today (Friday 18th March). Acts will include UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Sister Sledge and the Ministry of Sound Disco.
The event offers three days of live music in the beautiful grounds of the Leighton Hall estate in Carnforth, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
To kick off the weekend absolute pop-reggae legends UB40, feat Ali Campbell, will open Leighton Live with some of their best-known hits from their string of chart-topping albums. Expect “Red Red Wine”, “I Got You Babe”, “(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You” and “Kingston Town”, in front of the amazing Leighton Hall. An epic, not to be missed night support comes from the Reggae Roast with lots more to be announced.
Dust off your dancing shoes, too, as Ministry Of Sound are in town with their brand-new live show celebrating the very best in disco and house, performed by the sensational 15-piece Ministry of Sound Soul & Funk Band, with some surprise guests yet to be announced.
Expect to dance the night away to some of the greatest music ever recorded including “Aint’ Nobody”, “Music Sounds Better With You”, “Le Freak”, “I Feel Love”, “One More Time”, “Boogie Wonderland”, “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”. Supporting them will be Sister Sledge, who return to Lancashire after their amazing sell-out show at Highest Point Festival in 2019.
Expect some hands in the air hits including ‘We Are Family’, ‘Lost In Music’, ‘He’s The Greatest dancer’ and loads more. Hacienda legend Graeme Park will be spinning some tunes along with Manchester’s Funkademia crew.
The grand finale of Leighton Live is handed over to the beautiful Halle Orchestra, who bring their Last Night Of The Proms show to Lancashire. Joining them will be conductor Stephen Bell with very special guest soprano, Laura Wright. Of course, there will be a huge firework crescendo to end an amazing weekend.
