Lancaster City Museum

King Street Art Gallery and Artist Studios

Food Clubs

Food Clubs 'intercept' safe and edible food that would go otherwise to waste. Local food clubs tend to be mainly supplied in bulk by a food interception organisation. Each club charges a small weekly membership fee.  

Wyresdale Park Co-Working Barns and Artist Studios

Listed stone barns in the idyllic grounds of Wyresdale Park have been transformed into an open plan co-working loft-studio for designated desk/ studio spaces.

Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service (LDHAS)

LDHAS is the leading homeless charity in the Lancaster region. We work with people from many backgrounds whose circumstance have led to sleeping rough, or struggling to manage their own accommodation. The service is committed to helping people find accommodation and learn essential life skills. 

The Continuing Learning Group

We are an educational group based at Lancaster University aimed primarily at those middle aged and beyond, but open to everyone. We meet on Wednesdays in term-time for Lunchtime Lectures from experts on a whole range of topics, followed by a discussion session.  

The Platform, Morecambe

The Platform is Morecambe’s main events and entertainment venue, in the old Promenade Railway Station. It hosts a strong touring programme from jazz and blues to world music, folk and classical and also an extensive range of workshops, recitals, lectures, sequence dances and community events.

The local group of Lancashire Wildlife Trust. We aim to deliver a programme of activities for members and the general public, raise awareness of wildlife issues and sites, conduct biological recording and survey work, and generally support Wildlife Trust aims and projects - and have fun together!
