The next Ever Present Past History and Heritage Talk takes place at The Park, Lancaster on Tuesday 30th September 2025, discussing “2000 Years of Crossing the River Lune”.

“We will cross that bridge when we come to it”

“Daily we drive, walk, cycle or travel by train over many local bridges but have you ever thought about their history?” asks local historian Andrew Reilly, who will present the talk, which starts at 8.00pm.

The talk offers a look at the development of crossing points and bridges from Roman Times to the present day from Lancaster to Kirkby Lonsdale.
