Morecambe is getting a new street market – and is looking for traders.
Following a decision taken by Morecambe’s Mary Portas Town Team to introduce a monthly themed street market on Victoria Street in Morecambe, the town’s council are looking for local market traders, who may be interested in having a stall.
The first market will be launched on Saturday 30th March and will have an Easter Special theme.
Morecambe Council is looking for sellers of quality local goods, produced around Morecambe Bay i.e. food products, jewellery, crafts and flowers. They will not accept applications from sellers of bric a brac, antiques, used clothes and footwear or furniture.
To register your interest or for more information, please email the Town Clerk’s Assistant Abigail Fawcett at abigail@morecambe.gov.uk or by telephoning (01524) 422929
Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
After you have registered your interest, you will be invited to a meeting to discuss your product and to gain further information about the market.
Morecambe gained funding under the Mary Portas initiative last July, to set up a community café to provide advice and support for those looking to take up business opportunities.
