It's all getting creative down the West End

Author:

There's a lot happening in Morecambe's West End, with some novel festivals coming up this Summer to celebrate the creative culture of the local area.

Street Art

Morecambe Exchange, the creative community based at 13 West Street, is also planning a street art project and is seeking submissions for panels for a collaborative mural. Your submissions should be submitted by Monday 3 July, and you can find out more about the creative brief and its themes at
http://www.theexchangecic.co.uk/.

There will be lots ways to get involved. Designing is one, but also: Have you got a wall that could be painted? Have you an idea for a mural but would like help turning it into a design? Would you like to help prepare surfaces and paint murals? Please get in touch with the Exchange if you'd like to be involved.

Art Exhibition and Workshops

On Friday 7 July there will be a preview of an exhibition of work by artists preparing for the Make My Day festival in August and everyone is invited.  Saturday 8 July will also see a series of family-friendly paper-cut film animation workshops, and also a collaborative mural painting drop in. You can find out more about the exhibition and also how to book a workshop place at
