Lancaster Music Festival: 'Help us pick the best performance applicants!'

Chris Satori

Lancaster Music Festival is inviting you to come to sessions reviewing the hundreds of acts who have recorded applications to perform at this year's festival in mid-October.

Festival Coordinator Ben Ruth said:

"As we have several hundred acts to review already, and applications don't close until June 1st, we're going to have to accelerate the number of these sessions to at least three a month and we need your help!

"You, the citizens of Lancaster and hereabouts, get to decide who performs at YOUR festival."

Venues, you are also urged to attend. Ben added: "Big kudos to the Wagon and Horses who are always attending and hence get first dibs on the best acts!"

Lancaster's X-Factor?

Not exactly. The clue's in the name.

And with 2,017 venues taking part, according to the LMF website*, the festival is set to be a whole lot bigger, too.

The next review session will be held at the Gregson Centre, Lancaster on Monday 20 March at 7pm in the upstairs cinema.

Seating is limited, so if you'd like to join in, please email to reserve your place.

This is YOUR chance to have your say on who (or what) plays at this year's festival.

See and for more news and updates.
