Having trouble sleeping? No chance for cat napping? Then a free, Public Lecture at Lancaster University may be of interest.
The lecture, hosted by Lancaster University’s Department of English and Creative Writing, examines exactly what sleep is and why it matters.

Professor Espie’s talk is the keynote lecture for Sleep Values, a Wellcome Trust-funded interdisciplinary symposium on debates about the value of human sleep.
The author of Overcoming Insomnia and Sleep Problems (2006) and co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Sleep and Sleep Disorders (2012), Professor Espie is one of the co-designers of the digital sleep-improvement programme Sleepio.
