Morecambe FC’s superb Globe Arena is bracing itself for thousands of soap fans determined to see their favourites at the match organised by Heysham power stations which raise money for a number of charities.
The All Stars have clocked up seven consecutive victories against the power station’s finest.
The event which is being supported by Morecambe FC, Bay Radio and Black Zest Marketing is put together by EDF Energy’s Heysham Power Stations’ Mike Grimmitt..
Mike said: “The interest we have already had via the stations and Morecambe FC has been phenomenal.
“So we are hoping for a record-breaking crowd to come and support these guys who play for free and then spend time with their fans.
“The biggest winner will be the charities with money going to Marie Curie, CancerCare and the Twins Appeal.”
• The gates open at The Globe at 1.00pm, with the game kicking off at 2.00pm. Car parking is available at The Globe at £3 on a first come basis, again with all profits going to CancerCare. Tickets for the match will be £6 per adult, £3 per child and £15 family pass (two adults and two children)
