23/3/18: Lancashire County Councillors are still smarting after its Cabinet agreed on 8 March to a proposal by by Conservative Council Leader Geoff Driver to bar any councillor from addressing Lancashire's Conservative-only Cabinet who was not a Cabinet member, other than the Labour leader and deputy.

County to decide on another £45m in cuts

10/9/17: Lancashire County Council's cabinet will consider further savings of more than £45m when it meets next Thursday. Roads, libraries and buses will all receive increased budgets but Adult Social Care faces an additional £5.5m cut - despite a council tax increase of 2% ring-fenced for the sector.

28/7/17: Cuadrilla committed a serious breech of their Traffic Management Plan yesterday, with the help of police, who are alleged to have claimed they had Council consent. Lancs County Council have denied consenting and are 'considering action'. But LCC is stuck in turmoil over bailed Leader Geoff Driver.
