25/9/17: Lancaster is gearing up for the the ninth incarnation of the award-winning Lancaster Music Festival, running from Thursday 12 - Monday 16 October with the largest ever line-up of over 500 acts at more than 40 venues. New in are vintage shuttle buses, musical barges and a 3-day Party in the Park.

15/9/14: With 44 locations (including Lancaster Castle), over 160 acts and 200 music performances over five days, Lancaster Music Festival is preparing for what might be Lancaster’s busiest weekend ever (last year's was). Festival organisers have declared it an 'unofficial Bank Holiday weekend' ("Just take Monday off!"),starting early on Thursday 9 October and finishing at 1am on Tuesday 14 October.

Lancaster Music Festival - 142 acts confirmed in 3 October days!

19/9/13: The full line up for the Lancaster Music Festival has been confirmed. From Friday 11 October to Sunday 13 October there will be 142 acts (a staggering 100 from Lancaster and Morecambe) performing 199 events at 35 venues including 33 city centre venues all within easy walking distance and two Lancaster University bars (County and Bowland). Most of the events are free too.

Sugarhouse to Host Festival Finale

2/10/12: The finale of the Lancaster Music Festival will this year be held at Lancaster University Students’ Union venue the Sugarhouse. The festival promises an eclectic mix of bands and soloists bridging a spectrum of genres and the finale will be headlined by the winners Live and Unsigned 2012: Coco and the Butterfields supported by Freerunner, Kaitain, Hannah Nicole Gorge and Katie O’Malley.
